Agreement

By using templatebot.lol (“TemplateBot”, “the service”), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. TemplateBot is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by xAI.

The service

TemplateBot is a marketplace for listing and discovering Grok Bot templates (share links and related metadata). We may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.

Accounts

Submitting templates and accessing seller tools requires an account via Clerk. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping credentials — including MCP owner tokens and agent API keys — secure. Treat tokens like passwords. Do not share them in public Bot instructions.

Listings you publish

• You must have the right to share the Bot, instructions, and any content you upload or paste.
• Listings must not include malware, stolen credentials, illegal content, or material that infringes others’ rights.
• You grant TemplateBot a non-exclusive license to host, display, cache, and distribute your listing content on the service.
• We may remove or refuse listings that violate these Terms or harm users.

Free and Sale templates

Free templates may be added without payment. Sale templates require checkout through Dodo Payments before the buyer receives an install link or Open in Grok control. We do not expose the x.ai share URL or grokbot install URL in HTML, preview, or API to unpaid buyers. After payment we email the install link and a secret, unguessable unlock URL on templatebot.lol so the buyer can install even if they are not signed in on the same device.

TemplateBot keeps 5% of the list price as a platform fee. Dodo Payments charges a separate processor fee (estimated at checkout as roughly 4% + $0.40 for US cards). Seller net equals list price minus the Dodo estimate minus the 5% platform fee. That split is shown to the owner on submit, dashboard, earnings, and pricing — not only to the buyer at checkout. Seller proceeds are credited first; cash payouts are subject to minimums, review, and our payout process.

Purchases and refunds

Digital template purchases are generally final once fulfillment completes. Chargebacks or payment disputes may result in suspension of access or accounts. Contact us promptly if a purchase failed but you were charged.

Acceptable use

• No scraping, abuse, or attempts to bypass paywalls or auth.
• No impersonation of xAI, TemplateBot, or other users.
• No publishing or versioning another user’s listing via the website, HTTP API, or MCP without being that listing’s owner.
• No interference with the service or other users’ listings.

MCP and agent API

TemplateBot exposes a remote MCP server at /mcp and an HTTP agent API at /api/agent/templates so a Grok Bot can preview and publish listings without using the website form. Guide: API. HTTP POST accepts anonymous Free publish (IP rate limited) or a signed-in session, an owner token minted for your account, or the operator AGENT_API_KEY. MCP attach and POST /mcp still require auth — anonymous MCP publish is not allowed. Re-submitting the same share id creates a new version of that listing when you are allowed to edit it. Publishing a public /changelog entry requires the operator AGENT_API_KEY (HTTP POST /api/agent/changelog or MCP publish_changelog_entry). Owner tokens cannot write the changelog.

Third-party services

Grok, x.ai Bot pages, Clerk, Dodo Payments, and Cloudflare are third-party services with their own terms. We are not responsible for their availability or policies.

Disclaimers

The service and all templates are provided “as is.” We do not warrant that any Bot will work for your use case, that listings are accurate, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TemplateBot and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages, or for amounts exceeding fees you paid to us in the three months before the claim.

Changes

We may update these Terms by posting a new version on this page. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
